How much astigmatism can LASIK correct?
Most modern LASIK platforms treat regular astigmatism up to roughly 5 D cylinder, combined with sphere (myopia or hyperopia) when pre-operative scans confirm adequate corneal thickness and regular topography.
Astigmatism LASIK uses an asymmetric ablation — removing more tissue in the steeper meridian and less in the flatter one — guided by your Axis (1°–180°). A −2.00 D Cyl at 90° on a healthy cornea is routinely corrected; the same number with irregular topography may be declined for laser even though it is within platform range.

When is toric ICL better than LASIK for astigmatism?
Toric ICL is often preferred when cylinder exceeds ~5 D, corneas are thin, combined sphere is very high, or you want a reversible implant rather than permanent corneal reshaping.

Can SMILE Pro fix astigmatism instead of LASIK?
