Not a menu upgrade

We do not sell "basic vs premium laser" tiers. Candidacy and procedure dictate platform — SMILE vs LASIK vs ICL vs RLE first.

Surgeon-led assignment

Your operating surgeon selects hardware from available ZEISS, SCHWIND, and Alcon suites — documented pre-travel.

Keratoconus & presbyopia rules

Active keratoconus: no LASIK/SMILE/PRK. Presbyopia: RLE/trifocal is definitive; standard LASIK alone cannot restore reading.

Technology questions patients actually ask

Mapping (Pentacam) rules out unsafe laser on thin or keratoconic corneas. Femtosecond and excimer platforms execute the plan — but candidacy comes first. Technology without screening is marketing; screening without modern platforms is compromise.

No — your surgeon assigns platform after scans and procedure selection. SMILE requires VISUMAX-class femtosecond; LASIK pairs femto with an excimer (MEL 90, AMARIS, or EX500). You receive written confirmation before booking.

SMILE uses femtosecond only (lenticule extraction). LASIK uses femtosecond for the flap plus excimer for reshaping — two laser types, one procedure. Read: femtosecond vs excimer comparison.

Our centre uses ZEISS, SCHWIND, Alcon, and Oculus platforms matching leading UK and German refractive hospitals — not downgraded hardware for international patients.

Optical biometry (IOLMaster / Argos), Pentacam tomography, optional femtosecond cataract laser (LenSx / CATALYS), image guidance (VERION / CALLISTO), and premium IOLs (PanOptix, Vivity, Symfony, AT LISA tri).
